Realme Narzo 30 Pro: When 5G was still a premium smartphone feature, Realme took a punt by releasing the Narzo 30 Pro – a relatively cheap 5G phone that promised fast functioning without liquidating your bank account.

Even in 2025, this device has some remaining relevance for budget-focused users who want a combination of speed, display quality and a solid build — if they’re willing to consider older models or shop around for resale deals.

So let’s see what the Narzo 30 Pro has to offer — and where it shows its age.

Design and Build

The clean design Body First off, I like the ultra-clean and practical design With back covers a little bit of its design is partially hidden.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro isn’t flash, but it doesn’t feel cheap either. And with a matte plastic finish, it’s less likely to be covered in fingerprint smudges and scratches than some glossy alternatives.

They don’t look half bad in Racing Silver and Sword Black.

It’s not too heavy, around 194 grams, nor is it ultra-light. In the hand, the phone is nice and weighty and easy to hold, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also the power button — fast, responsive and useful.

Display: Experience the Smoothest with 120Hz

Among the features of the Narzo 30 Pro, the 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate is a highlight.

This was a game changer in its price tier when it first launched — and it’s still uncommon to find such high refresh rates on low-cost 5G phones.

Screen is nice and colorful with good brightness and OK off-axes. Colors aren’t as vibrant as those on an AMOLED screen, but the display’s smooth scrolling and fluid animations make up for it, especially when gaming or scrolling through social media.

Performance: Dimensity 800U to the Rescue, yet again

The Narzo 30 Pro gets the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC underneath, which is clubbed with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

This was an absolute beast for its price bracket and even now it’ll struggle to be pushed for everyday computing when considering simple tasks.

Apps open quickly, multitasking is slick, and even games are fun. Games like Call of Duty: Mobile and BGMI also play smoothly on medium to high settings.

And the phone doesn’t get super warm, which is a plus during long gaming sessions.

5G Support and Connectivity

The only reason anyone still thinks about the Narzo 30 Pro is reportedly its dual 5G capability.

Though 5G coverage is still being rolled out in India, it’s good to know you’re future- ready with your phone. Further, It has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB Type-C connectivity.

Cameras: Good Enough in Daylight, So-So at Night

The rear’s camera setup has a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro cam. In good lighting conditions, the main camera takes sharp, detailed shots with a good amount of dynamic range.

The ultra-wide lens does what it’s supposed to, though the edges can be soft at times.

Begin showing its budget heritage in low-light photography. Noise gets in and much detail is lost.

The front camera is 16MP and it’s good enough for selfies, video calls but is not consistent in different lighting.

Battery Life and Charging

Powering the Narzo 30 Pro is a 5000mAh battery that keeps it running for an entire day without any problem for moderate users.

That’s not bad though since the Narzo supports 30W Dart Charging and Realme bundles the fast charger in the box – it’s definitely a nice throw in, even today.

It can recharge from 0 to 100% in just over an hour, however, which is still very quick by today’s standards.

Software: Realme UI on top of Android

It was initially released with Android 10, and updated to Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0. It’s also unlikely you’ll see any new software here, but the interface is clean, responsive and ladened with useful extras such as Game Space, Dark Mode and system-wide theming.

But for some, there are a couple of preinstalled bloatware that might be a little bothering.

Pros of Realme Narzo 30 Pro

Performance: Dimensity 800U does act too good
120Hz smooth refresh rate
Affordable 5G with consistent coverage
Decent battery + fast(ish) charging
Good to middling primary camera in bright light

Cons of Realme Narzo 30 Pro

No AMOLED display
Average low-light photography
Stuck on the old Android version
Some bloatware in the UI
Not the most compact design

Realme Narzo 30 Pro Final Verdict

In 2025, the Realme Narzo 30 Pro won’t be the youngest, newest phone in tow, but it still has plenty of things going for it, even if you’re shopping under than sub-₹12,000 or second hand. Now 5G ready, with a silky-smooth 120Hz display and really good battery life, it’s still a strong bet for people who need a no-nonsense daily driver, students, entry-level users, and more.

If you can tolerate old Android already and don’t care too much about cameras, the Narzo 30 Pro is still good value for your money.
