Renault Duster 2025

Renault Duster 2025: After years of speculation and murmurs, the Renault Duster 2025 has returned to India, and it is nothing like the Duster you remember. The new model follows a global re-design of Renault vehicles and features a totally refreshed look, upgraded tech and tough 4×4 engineering.

What hasn’t changed? It is also dedicated to utility and usability in a practical world.

The new Duster is probably still an SUV at heart, but it’s a whole lot mature, more upmarket, modern and capable now. Here’s what this revived S.U.V. delivers.

Renault Duster 2025 Design: Fresh and Tough Global With the World’s Touch

The 2025 Renault Duster looks like it is from a different planet compared to the old-school, utilitarian look of the original. Based on the CMF-B platform (which it shares with the global Dacia Duster), the SUV now adopts a boxier, more muscular look with a squat stance and increased ground clearance.

It has sharp body lines, beefy wheel arches, and more of an upright, chunky-bodied visual vibe to it that gives it a butch road presence.

That Y-shaped LED headlamps design, wide grille with honeycomb detailing and muscular skid plates do give it a distinct, almost off-roader look.

At the back, there’s slimming LED taillights joined through a strip of textured panel, giving a contemporary edge to the tough character of the SUV.

Inside:

Simple, Smart and Big When packing, I like to think about what is going to make my trip easier or more comfortable.

It is one that continues to impress inside. Inside, the new Duster flexes fresher and more driver-centric muscles, thanks to the layered dashboard design, fabric and soft-touch materials, and the lack of dust-gathering clutter.

That’s led by a big 10.1-inch floating touchscreen for infotainment, while a digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control also feature.

The cabin is airy, with a panoramic sunroof (on top variants), and rear seat space is better due to the longer wheelbase.

It’s not luxury-grade in terms of materials, to be sure, but it does feel much more polished and contemporary than its predecessor.

Performance & Engine Options

In narrow, the -2025 Renault Duster provides a choice of two powertrains at launch:

1.2L turbo-petrol engine (130 PS) Reverse camera with dynamic lines: The car maker has packed the small car with various segment first and best-in-segment features, in order to make it as exclusive as possible.

1.6L petrol-hybrid (140 PS combined)

The turbo-petrol is punchy and raring to go, great for dashing around town and even hitting the highway.

The hybrid, meanwhile, provides a smoother ride and more efficient performance that should appeal to buyers concerned about increasing fuel prices.

Renault has also promised a 4×4 iteration with several terrain modes, in keeping with the Duster’s reputation as a low-cost off-roader.

Ride quality, as ever, is a strong suit. The suspension does a good job of soaking up bad roads and the steering has a predictable feel.

Features and Tech: Smarter Now Than Ever

The new Duster doesn’t set out to be a tech showboat, but it does everything you need it to:
10.1-inch infotainment with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
Digital driver’s display
With or without keyless access (to include on 04-05 WRX!), push button start option available.
Back-up camera with moveable guidelines
Cruise Control And Many Drive Modes
Wireless charging and everything for the connected car
6-airbags, ESC, HSA, TPMS
It’s not extravagant with the bells and whistles but provides a considerate, user-friendly experience.

Pros:

Aggressive, modern design with traditional cues
Hybrid and turbo-petrol is the way to go – but with big prices for the fast bits.
AWD is optional, bringing real off-road capability with it
Very well-thought-out cockpit and space.csrf
Trip quality and handling in balance
Competitive pricing expected

Cons:

No diesel engine at launch
Cabin materials aren’t yet all up to premium snuff
Some features such as ventilated seats absent
Brand image might be a step behind competitors such as Hyundai/Kia.
Unclear when 4×4 variant will be launched.

Renault Duster 2025 Verdict: A Comeback That Gets It Right

The Renault Duster 2025 is not for the nostalgics—it reinvents itself and comply with the requirements of today. It combines the perfect amount of rugged charm and tech and practicality to feel refreshed in a jam-packed compact SUV space.

With a hybrid choice, better styling, and off-road-worthy DNA, though, it’s no longer just a budget SUV—it’s now a well-rounded, grown-up offering.

If you enjoyed the old Duster for its no-nonsense appeal, the new one will just feel like a grown-up, more intelligent brother.

It doesn’t have to be flashy, but it does where it counts. The comeback? Definitely worth the wait.
