Vivo T4x 5G : With 5G fast becoming a norm in India, the budget smartphone category has been hit with the 5G wave as well, and Vivo’s new launch-the Vivo T4x 5G-comes in just at the right time to churn the market.
Designed for young users and those who don’t want to spend much, the T4x serves up an interesting combination of style, performance and 5G connectivity without breaking your bank.
It’s not pretending to be a flagship killer, but you’ll find enough in here to keep everyday use smooth, snappy and pleasant.
Sleek and Practical Design
The Vivo T4x 5G lets its simple yet stylish design do the talking. It has a minimalistic back panel with twin cameras that sports a soft, glossy finish that provides it sleek, modern look.
The Vivo V21 is impressively slim and light, at around 184 grams, and is comfortable enough to hold over the course of long sessions.
With vibrant touches of Glacier Blue and Gravity Black you’ll look fresh and feel fresh with every single wear. The side-positioned fingerprint sensor is fast and convenient without getting in your way, whatever the task at hand.
Display: A Smooth Experience
To the front, the T4x sports a Full HD+ IPS LCD display measuring 6.58-inch with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s not an AMOLED panel, but it’s still good in most situations. Colors are pretty ole-punchy, and brightness levels are alright for using outside.
That 120Hz refresh rate makes a huge difference, particularly when you’re scrolling through social media or the menus.
It provides a zippy, liquid feel that’s not very common at this price.
Performance and 5G Readiness
The Vivo T4x 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, a streamlined chip known for both its performance as well as power efficiency.
With 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, the handset tackles multitasking, gaming, and everyday tasks with aplomb.
Apps open fast, and multitasking in between tabs looks and feels fine, and games like BGMI as well as Free Fire are playable on medium to high settings.
And with support for dual 5G, the phone is future-proof as far as its connectivity goes.
Superior Battery Life to Keep You Going
One of the highlights of the T4x is the 5000mAh battery. Battery life is good, with it easily lasting a full day with mixed usage including gaming, video streaming and social media.
Even better? The device is backed by 18W fast charging and while it’s not the fastest in the segment, it will get the job done. It’s around 40 minutes to charge from 0 to roughly 50% — a nice jolt to top up before heading out.
Camera: Decent for the Price
On the back, there is a 50MP primary camera. The main camera does fairly well in the daylight — shots come up clear, colors look accurate and there’s good dynamic range.
Portrait shots are passable as well, with decent edge detection.
It’s low-light photography where the phone does exhibit its budget roots, though. Contrast can get really soft, and then there’s noise. The 8MP front-facer is fine for video calls and selfies, but it’s nowhere near flagship-level detail or HDR.
Software and Extras
The user experience feels smooth and the UI is clean, running Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13.
It’s nice to see there’s less bloatware from previous models here. You still get useful features like split screen multitasking, ultra game mode and a privacy dashboard.
Other useful features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a hybrid SIM slot and microSD expansion, enabling users who may be upgrading from older devices to feel at home.
Pros:
Smooth 120Hz Full HD+ display
Good all day performance from Snapdragon 695
Long-lasting 5000mAh battery
Clean and lightweight design
Dual 5G SIM support
Headphone jack + expandable storage
Cons:
No AMOLED panel
Average low-light camera performance
