New Kia EV6 Facelift

New Kia EV6 Facelift: The Kia EV6 was the start of a big leap into an electric future for the brand. With its distinctive good looks, futuristic tech and solid performance, it soon became one of the most desirable EVs around the world.

Now, in 2025, Kia has presented the EV6 Facelift, an evolution without losing its essence.

This mid-cycle refresh ushers in slight design updates, tech upgrades, and range and feature updates.

But does it render the EV6 even more irresistible in the rapidly changing world of electric vehicles? Now let’s take a look at everything that’s new and improved.

New Kia EV6 Facelift Design: Evolution, not Revolution

Kia has (smartly) not messed with that already striking design of the EV6. Sharper lines have been added, along with detailing updates, especially at the front, as part of the facelift.

The new LED headlamp signature is much more aggressive and instantly recognizable. The grille area is slightly revised, and the bumper design is sportier.

At the rear, the light bar is now more dynamically swept, with a very futuristic look, especially at night.

A selection of new alloy wheel styles and colour choices and new aerodynamics complete the visual tweaks.

And yet the EV6 still looks fierce and futuristic — something imagined for a sci-fi film, but also down-to-earth enough to run errands in every day.

Interior and Features: Clean, Connected, And Comfy

On the inside, the Kia EV6 Facelift gets a bit refined when it comes to materials and layout. The cabin is still airy and driver-centric but now adds:

Bigger dual-curved displays (that’s now 12.3″ + 12.3″)

Enhanced HUD with navigation and ADAS alerts

64-color customizable new ambient lighting zones

upgraded seat cushions made from more sustainable materials

And Kia revamped its infotainment system to be faster and more reactive, with wireless updates and deeper smartphone integration. Owners can unlock, start, and even share their EV6 securely via smartphone using a new digital key system.

Performance and Powertrain: Range plus Thrill

The E-GMP platform also stays, although it is paired with a larger 84 kWh battery pack (versus 77.4 kWh) in comparison to before.

This boosts real-world range to as much as 550 km (WLTP) for the RWD version—perfect for longer trips to help cut down on charging stops.

The RWD and AWD versions are both still options. It’s not that the AWD GT-Line is slow—it does the 0-100 km/h sprint in under 5.2 seconds. Kia has also improved its regen braking, which helps make energy recovery smoother and city traffic more efficient.

Charging is also an area of strength: supported by 800V ultra-fast charging up to 10-80% in under 20 minutes using a compatible DC fast charger.

Safety and Technology: More Brain, Less Brawn

What’s new? The EV6 now includes Kia’s latest ADAS suite, comprising:

Highway Driving Assist 2

Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and collision avoidance

Adaptive cruise control with lane centering

360-degree parking camera

The EV6 also offers over-the-air (OTA) software updates, so your car never becomes outdated without a trip to a shop. And now Kia has really entered into the software-defined vehicle age, and so yes, the facelift reflects that.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

Bold sci-fi looks with a facelift
Larger battery and better real-world range
Provision for fast charging up to 800V architecture
Good interior and connectivity features
AWD model turns in strong performance
Packed with safety and ADAS features

Out of reach for many with premium price point
No big hardware changes to base powertrains
Rearward visibility still pretty bad thanks to the design
Poor service coverage in smaller tows
GT variant still not available in all markets

New Kia EV6 Facelift Final Verdict

What’s The EV6 Facelift? The Kia EV6 Facelift is an updated version of an already very compelling electric crossover that’s become more modern, connected and practical. With more range, a facelift and better tech, it is ready to lead the lunge for being one of the most wholesome EVs in its ₹50–₹60 lakh bracket.

For an electric car that offers sporty, comfy, future-ready tech, the new EV6’s not just an evolution — it’s a wheeled statement.
