Infinix Zero 30 5G: Infinix is quietly making some interesting moves in the Indian smartphone space, and with the Zero 30 5G, it seems the brand wants to some into the limelight.

Billed as a camera-focused, performance-oriented phone with a striking design, the phone makes a daring for a new territory that is usually dominated by the likes of Realme and Xiaomi. It does as it promises, but does it deliver, or is it all about smoke and mirrors? Let’s dive in.

Design & Display: Among The Best Looking In The Segment

One of the major draws for the Infinix Zero 30 5G is its design. From the moment you pick it up you get the feeling of a premium device that well outperforms its could-be-cheaper price tag.

The curved AMOLED screen, razor-thin bezels, and glass back (in Golden Hour, Rome Green, and Fantasy Purple) make it look like a flagship.

The 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display gets the 144Hz refresh rate that’s somewhat rare in this segment. Everything from scrolling through social media to gaming just feels smooth and fluid. Colors pop, contrast levels are rich and peak brightness of 950 nits make it fairly readable even in direct sunlight. It’s a real treat, no doubt for binge-watchers and gamers alike.

Performance: Fast and Fluid

On the inside, the Zero 30 5G is released with the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, coming with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

This chipset is also powerful enough to manage everyday tasks effortlessly, from switching between apps to gaming solid games like Call of Duty: Mobile or Asphalt 9.

The user experience has gotten better though than prev ious infinix devices, all thanks to XOS 13. It’s not totally bloatware free, but the UI does feel more polished and comes with a fair amount of useful ergonomic tweaks and customization; and with a max 21GB (virtual) of RAM expansion, it’s multitasker’s candy on top.

Camera: Where It Truly Shines

Infinix is definitely upping the camera game with the 108MP primary sensor. The camera is quite good in daylight, producing a generally detailed snap with a good range in brightness.

Color accuracy is also good — images don’t look oversaturated unless HDR does its thing too much.

But it’s the 50MP front camera with 4K video recording that’s the real headline grabber. It’s a rare feature to find in this price band, and vloggers (or selfie-takers) will love the level of clarity and depth in photos and videos.

Low-light performance is OK, but it does start to get noisy if the lighting isn’t there.

Battery & Charging: Stays on all day

Battery aspect: The Infinix Zero 30 5G is backed by a 5000mAh battery and it is enough to keep the device running all day long under moderate and even heavy usages.

Whether you’re gaming, attending Zoom meetings or watching YouTube, you’ll easily get 6+ hours of battery life.

When it’s time to power up, the 68W of fast charging does a good job, bringing a 0-80% charge in around 30 minutes. That’s a huge win for busy on-the-go users.

Connectivity & Extras

It’s future-proofed with dual support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and even Bluetooth 5.2. The in-display fingerprint scanner is fast and face unlock is reliable as well. But there’s no IP rating for water or dust protection, no stereo speakers, which will be missed by some entertainment minded users.

Pros:

Stunning 144Hz 48×144 3-inch curved AMOLED display
High quality overall construction and design
Great combination of front and rear cameras
Good performance for class
68W fast charging
Caen and neat UI with good things about it

Cons:

Some bloatware are still present on the XOS
No stereo speakers
No official IP rating
Night shots could be improved
No wireless charging (probably fine at this price point)

Infinix Zero 30 5G Verdict:

A Mid-Range Marvel that Belts With Both Style and Power

The Infinix Zero 30 5G isn’t just another fancy mid-ranger; it fuses style, performance, and an amazing front camera setup all in a good value. Though it may not be perfect, in a segment fraught with competitors it sounds like it could stand out. If you want something that’s a bit out there but still features the necessities, this phone deserves a spot on your shortlist.
